Welcome to
The Moore House
We hope you enjoy your time at The Moore House. You’re staying in our home as well as a piece of our family history. This house has been in our family since it was built in 1919. Most people remember it as the longtime residence of Mary Kate’s grandparents, the Moores. In 2022-23, we brought it back to life with a complete renovation.
We hope you give the same care and make fond memories inside these walls just as we do.
Lastly, enjoy Willcox. We’re proud of its rich history, welcoming community, and everything it has grown to be since 1880.
Come back and see us!

For Your Comfort
Willcox has enjoyable weather all year long. For your comfort, we have additional heating and cooling options. In the summertime, each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan. Their corresponding remotes are located near the room's light switches. The kitchen and dining area can be cooled by a mini-split. The remote control is located underneath the main unit. Simply set the unit to your desired temperature. The living room can be cooled by the evaporative cooler. The switch is located to the left of the kitchen window.
Please note: This cooler only works on the "high cool" setting. When using an evaporative cooler, be sure to open a window slightly.
In the wintertime, the mini-split unit can also provide warmth. Two furnaces are also located on opposite ends of the house. Their corresponding thermostats are located near the (1) bi-fold doors off the kitchen and (2) behind the TV in the living room.
Washing Clothes & Towels
Located behind the bi-fold doors just off the kitchen, you'll find an all-in-one washer and dryer. Load the machine with clothes and detergent as normal. Follow the prompts at the front of the machine to select "what to wash" and "how to wash." You can also include a dry cycle for all-in-one cleaning.
Please note: Because this machine is all-in-one and ventless, expect longer cycle times from start to finish. If your items are not completely dry, you can use an additional "dry only" cycle at completion.
Roses
Our roses in the front yard are more than 50 years old. Please leave the water hoses in the flowerbeds, so that they'll get their daily watering.
Linens & Towels
We take great pride in offering you a luxurious and comfortable experience during your stay. As part of our commitment to excellence, we ensure that all our linens are fresh and clean for your comfort. To help us maintain the quality of our linens, we kindly request that you use the dark washcloths provided for makeup removal. We appreciate your help in keeping our linens and towels clean. By treating them with care, you also contribute to the exceptional experience of future guests.
Enjoy Willcox. We’re proud of its rich history, welcoming community, and everything it has grown to be since 1880.
Accessing the House
Guests will be provided with an electronic access code to unlock the front door to the property. The same code can be used to unlock/lock the back door to the property.
Guests are not allowed to change the access code. Any attempt to access a locked area is just cause for immediate termination of the rental agreement, forfeiture of all rent paid, and the guest will be liable for any missing items or damage.
